JoyBoy's World

Oh good! Somebody fixed my Blog. I was wondering if it would fix itself. Thanks whoever fixed my Blog!! Me and Zooli read Cluetrain Manifesto and I think somebody at Motime read it, too, 'cause everything is fixed now and nobody had to fight about anything or rob from poor people. Zooli likes #95:

"We are waking up and linking to each other. We are watching. But we are not waiting."

Today, I think I'll go visit the Wizard. I'll show you a picture later. The Wizard blogs.

Love,

JoyBoy and Zooli

I edited my blog and everything stinks now. Maybe my Dad will fix it later if I tell him. I wasn't supposed to edit this, but I wanted my picture there of me at the beach. I like my sunglasses. I'll wait and see what happens and then maybe fix everything in a while.

Joyboy at the Beach
This is pretty good. I think I'm liking a lot of the people I see. Wow! Whadda world this Blogosphere is. There are so many people here! Zooli thought he would get lost. Somebody asked, "Is JoyBoy really 10?" JoyBoy said, "of course! Of course I'm 10. 10 in Teddy Bear years. You know what *that* means." So some people are talking to us now, but mainly they talk to each other and ignore all of us. Zooli thinks they might still be scared of us, like that Jellyfish guy, but I don't know about that.

We flew around for a while and saw all kinds of people blogging. Words were everywhere flying out of people's heads. I think we figured out how to enter the blogosphere but still, nobody would talk to us. Angela was a good navigator, but Charlie fell asleep on the magic carpet. Me and Zooli kept a good watch with Angela in case somebody interesting came along. We picked up new words in the Blogosphere, not original words, everybody knew them, but not me. Words like:

Blogophone
Blogdacious
Blogtology
Blogomania
Bloghog
Blogbody
Blogstigate
Blogstation
Blogorama
Ablogalypse

I'll tell you about them later. I don't feel like telling you about them now. Or you can look them up in the blogtionary.

JoyBoy's World Graphic
Suddenly, out of nowhere this blogger becomes a scary looking Jellyfish, like somebody from the circus, like that was his avatar or something. Like he was trying to disguise himself and then all of a sudden the person I was seeing, that I was yelling at and he wasn't answering knew he was being looked at and that scared 'im good 'cause he suddenly became a giant Jellyfish with a head sticking out. Then outta the Jellyfish comes words, weird words like poetry and the Jellyfish said,
"If we are the creators of the machine and the machine has emergent properties different from us, are we still the soul of the machine?"
JoyBoy hollered back, "Come onto the magic carpet with me and Angela and Charlie and Zooli and I'll show you. . ."
But the Jellyfish didn't answer. He just kept talking - it was like he was typing on his computer only you couldn't see the computer and he was typing in his head and the words were all coming out of his ears and floating in the blue Jellyfish blobby stuff around him. Words like, "ontological," and "teleos," and "parallel processing neuronets."
"If this is the soul of the machine, then *this* is humanity," the Jellyfish bellowed. Too loud and blub, blub, blub, if you ask me.
Zooli said meekly, "Why is that man wearing watercolors?"
And sure enough he was. It was as if the words had color when they were created. "Ontological" was yellow. "Teleos" a dark purple. "Humanity" was a pale yellow. "Soul" was very blue, for example. I wondered what the colors meant. If the Blogosphere had certain rules and those rules were influenced by color, even.
"'C'mon, Zooli, let's go find somebody else. There must be somebody who will talk to us!"

Today me and Zooli went in and we saw somebody who was standing in the middle of the Blogosphere, blogging away. We got there on Angela's magic carpet. Angela and Charlie are more of my friends and we ride around on a magic carpet. We go to different places every night. You'd be surprised where we go.
This is what me and Zooli said:
"Who's there?" said JoyBoy.
"Roar!" said Zooli.
Zooli actually said that, he didn't make the sound, he said "Roar!" It's not like Zooli was afraid or anything. He doesn't get afraid. He just roars 'cause he's a baby lion. That's what they do. Roar. Or well, it was a mini-roar. That's what it was. He's small, about four inches, so he roars small.
So Zooli roars, but he doesn't stink. Even tho' he's a lion he doesn't stink. And when we went to somebody's blog, and they were just standing there in the middle of it that's what we said. And when I said "Who's there?" nobody answered, even tho' they were in their own blog. So I said it again, "Who's there blogging, that's what I want to know! 'Cause I'm JoyBoy!"

(JoyBoy singing in high - shrill - loud actually, voice)
Well, out I went a-blogging, a-blogging, a-blogging.
Out I went a-blogging
and what did I find?

(no longer singing)
About a million people rambling, is what! I like the people. Well, I don't know the people, but I like the titles. These are the questions I have:
What is the blogosphere?
Do you enter into it by lurking?
Does lurking count as participation?
Do you enter it by blogging and posting?
Do you enter it only when you interact with somebody?
Does entering it make you meet somebody?
These are the questions I have.

I never blogged before. Nobody told me not to, I just never did. Then there was the blogosphere, so then I thought I would blog and enter the blogosphere. I don't know what it is yet, but I'm finding out. About a million people know what it is but I don't know what it is yet. Steve Jobs does tho, I'm sure. He probably has a blog. Jobs Blog, probably. I have a pointy green hat on my Teddy Bear head. That's how I look right now. The hat never goes anywhere. It just sits there. That's how I look right now.

I don't need to sleep. I stay up all night surfing the net. Nobody minds. I used to spam but I don't anymore. Dad says it's going to be against the law. I don't spam anymore. I have a lot to spam about, but I don't spam anymore. I used to spam my picture all over the net. Then people would wake up and wonder what that JoyBoy head was doing in their mail box. It might have made people laugh, but it probably made more people mad. I don't spam anymore. Nobody reads anything I write before I post it, but after I post it it could be taken down. Even by me.

Hi! My name is JoyBoy! I'm a 10 year old Teddy Bear. I wonder what I'll say? I'm going on a journey into the Blogosphere. Then I'll tell you what I find out. I don't know what that will be, but I'll find out and then I'll tell you. Zooli is my friend. We talk a lot. We can talk about the Blogosphere if we want. We probably will. We talk and talk. Zooli is a lion and he went to Italy. Then he came back. I love Steve Jobs.
